The Speedy Rain 32/90 is designed to be operated from a pumped water supply, the Speedy Rain is an excellent, cost effective watering option for sports fields and football and rugby pitches.

To operate, the unit is wheeled into position and the the hose uncoiled. Once operating the piston drive mechanism will slowly re-coil the hose onto the drum, bringing the sprinkler back to the start position, where it will shut off.

Reel irrigators are much less expensive than pop-up sprinklers mounted around the sports pitch and require smaller pumps and water tanks to supply the water to the system. They are ideal for well resourced amateur clubs and semi-professional sports clubs who wish to keep their pitches in top condition.

How much water does a sports pitch need?
A grass football or rugby pitch will lose 3mm of water per day on a hot Summer day. On a 68m x 110m pitch, this is the equivalent of 22,440 litres per day. However, even in the Summer there will normally be some rainfall (45mm on average in July), so the nett water requirement for an average year would be 1.5mm per day.
