The Beds and Border Drip Kit is ideal for watering flower borders and herbaceous borders in the garden or on landscaped borders. The Permadrip Pro drip line is made from a thick walled polythene pipe with commercial grade pressure compensated drippers spaced every 0.5m for even coverage. The Permadrip drip line is designed for professional irrigation installations and has a thick wall to ensure a long like and resistance to mechanical damage. The brown colour of the drip line helps it to blend into the soil. Pressure compensation is used to ensure that all drippers give a highly uniform output along the entire length of the dripline. To prevent blockages, the drippers will self-flush if there are dirt particles in the pipeline.
Laying the dripline on the bed
Driplines are laid in parallel rows 0.5m – 0.6m apart across the width if the bed, so a 2m deep bed would use 4 lines of drip across the width. At one end the separate lines are joined together and then connected to a water supply. Pegs are included in the Beds and Border Drip kit to peg the dripline down.
The Beds and Border Drip Kit can be either connected direct to an outdoor tap if it is adjacent to the bed, or connected to the tap using your hose with a standard quick connector. Use 16mm above ground supply pipe if the border is some distance from the tap and you wish to make a permanent connection. Drip kit requires DB valve to comply with Water Regulations.
Dripline use is normally allowed during a hosepipe ban if the system is operated with a timer – check with your local provider.
Small Kit Includes: 25M drip line, tap connector, hose connector, filter, anchorage pegs, and selected barbed fittings to connect the dripline together.
Large Kit Includes: 100M drip line, tap connector, hose connector, filter, anchorage pegs, selected barbed fittings to connect the dripline together.
