The Tree Watering Kit is designed for watering long runs of trees, close spaced 0.15m dripline is coiled and pegged around the base of each tree. A supply pipe runs down the avenue of tree, connecting all of the tree rings together. One or two lines of trees can be watered with each kit.

Permadrip Pro dripline uses dripline is made from a thick walled polythene pipe with commercial grade pressure compensated drippers for a long life. The supply pipe can be buried to allow mowing along the run.

Control options
The system can be either connected directly to an outdoor tap or automated using our underground valve box system. If the Node controller is used, a soil moisture sensor can also be incorporated into the system.

Do I need to water the trees?
Most tree nurseries recommend drip watering for the trees to help establish the trees and reduce losses. A 20cm girth tree will need 100 litres of water per week in the warmer months. In addition, regular watering with an irrigation system will speed up the establishment of the tree and produce more growth each season, creating a hedging screen more quickly.

Using the tree watering kit
The tree irrigation drip kit can be either connected direct to an outdoor tap, or connected to the tap using a hose with a standard quick connector.

Use 16mm above ground supply pipe if the border is some distance from the tap, or use a hose to connect.

A simple timer can be added to the hedge irrigation kit to provide automated watering each day. The ideal time to water the hedge is very early in the morning.

Tree Watering Kit contents

Small Kit Includes: 25m drip line, 25m underground pipe, 10 tree take off fittings, branching tees for up to 2 runs of trees, tap connector, underground valve box connector, anchorage pegs.

Large Kit Includes: 50m drip line, 100m underground pipe, branching tees for up to 4 runs of trees, 30 tree take off fittings, tap connector, underground valve box connector, anchorage pegs.

Requires backflow protection—check with your water company.

Dripline use is normally allowed during a hosepipe ban if the system is operated with a timer – check with you local provider.
